Four more students from Moi University have gone missing and are feared to have joined terror group Al Shabaab.
The number of students from the university, suspected to have joined the al Qaeda-linked group, has risen to eight since November 2015.
Uasin Gishu county commissioner Abdi Hassan said on Saturday that some parents are being investigated for helping their children to join the terror group.
According to The Star, It emerged in June last year that some University of Nairobi students are paid members of ISIS and al Shabaab.
The head of the National Counter Terrorism Centre said he had evidence some students in Nairobi and elsewhere were on the payroll of the two terror groups.
