KDF jets bomb Al shabaab stronghold in southern Somalia

The fighter jets of Kenyan defense forces (KDF) have bombed an Al shabaab base in Gedo region, south west of Somalia, reports said on Wednesday.

Source say the KDF warplanes hit Al shabaab controlled Tulo-Barwaqo vicinity, approximately 20 kilometers away from Garbaharey, the regional capital of Gedo province.

The causality figures of the airstrike is yet unclear, but KDF jets have been carrying such aerial bombardments in southern Somalia, in response to El Adde attack that left nearly 100 Kenyan soldiers dead.
