NISA soldiers killed in Al shabaab attack laid to rest in Mogadishu

At least four members of National Intelligence and security agency (NISA) who were  killed in Mogadishu car bomb attacks have been laid to rest in Mogadishu following a funeral state in the capital on Saturday.

Senior army officials, including Mogadishu police chief Ali Hersi Barre popularly known as (Ali Gab) were in attendance at the funeral prayers in honor for the slain NISA soldiers.

The soldiers were killed when Al shabaab bomber drove his car packed with explosives into NISA checkpoint near the main entrance of the SYL hotel in Mogadishu on Friday night at around 7:45 p.m. (Local time).

More than 23 people, most of them unarmed civilians were killed in the car bombs and gunfire, according to medics.

Al shabaab claimed responsibility for the double car bomb attacks, saying it targeted SYL hotel which is popular with  Somali government officials, lawmakers and media professionals.
