According to information we have received, a vehicle packed with explosives that was allegedly being transported toward Mogadishu to target key locations was intercepted and neutralized before reaching its destination.
The explosive-laden vehicle reportedly departed from Bula Mareer. The operation is believed to have been linked to Al-Shabaab’s attempted response following a recent nighttime offensive by Somali government forces in the Kuntuwaareey district, where the group reportedly suffered significant losses.
In a separate development, senior Al-Shabaab officials responsible for the group’s chemical-related operations—described as key figures within the organization—were reportedly killed while attending a meeting. Their vehicles were targeted on the outskirts of Kuntuwaareey district.
Additionally, a facility on the outskirts of Baraawe, where foreign fighters were allegedly being prepared for operations, was reportedly struck in an airstrike.
Reports also indicate that another location in Sablale, said to have been hosting senior Al-Shabaab military leaders, was also targeted
