Somalia Government to Sanction Those Who Pays Taxes to Terrorists

The Somali government warned today that it will penalize traders who pay taxes to the terrorist movement Al Shabab.
‘Those who pay taxes to terrorists their business may be confiscated, no matter if they are large or small’, warned Security Minister Mohamed Abukar Dualle during a press conference attended by the heads of various services of that institute.

The government will not tolerate the funding to the group, stressed the minister, instructing telecommunication companies to terminate any kind of services to the armed Islamist institution, obedient to the Islamic State.

The measure follows in a few days to leaks according to which the terrorist group banned the Somali shilling in areas under its control, in favor of the Ethiopian Birr.
