Two Somali men grievously injured after argument in Gozo

Two Somali men were grievously injured after an argument erupted between the two, police have said.

Yesterday at around 9pm, one of the men, 34-years-old residing in Marsa, went into the police station in Rabat, Gozo, and alleged that he was assaulted by another man. Soon after, a second Somali man, 32 residing in  Munxar, walked in also injured.

As both men were bleeding, they were taken to the Gozo General Hospital. After an

initial investigation, it results that the two had an argument while on Fortunato Mizzi street, Rabat, Gozo. It seems that the 32-year-old was struck by a sharp object.

Both men are suffering from grievous injuries, however are not in danger of losing their lives. They are being held by the police and investigations are ongoing.
