Missile Strikes Hit Lower Shabelle and Middle Juba, Killing Senior Security Figures and Foreign Specialists

A series of missile strikes were carried out in the Lower Shabelle and Middle Juba regions, targeting key military and security facilities. The attacks resulted in significant casualties, including senior security officials, foreign specialists, and explosives experts, as well as the destruction of sites used to prepare explosive vehicles intended for attacks against government forces.

 

Five missile strikes targeted areas in Lower Shabelle and Middle Juba regions.

In Lower Shabelle, the attacks hit a military training base used by foreign special forces. Around 26 foreign nationals, mostly engineers and senior figures, were killed, while many others were injured. Among the dead were senior members including Abu Fasuli, Abu Ansari, Abu Turabi, Abu Hashi, and Abu Masoud, who was a top security commander. The victims were from Arab countries such as Sudan, Egypt, and Yemen.

 

The strikes also destroyed a site where explosive-laden vehicles were being prepared for attacks against government forces, intended to be moved toward Mogadishu and areas near Nur Dugle.

 

In Middle Juba, specifically Jilib district, a storage facility for explosives linked to a security center was hit, resulting in the deaths of 16 explosives and security officers.
