Reports indicate that several major airstrikes occurred in different locations in southern Somalia, targeting sites and individuals believed to be linked to militant activities.
Major strikes occurred in five different locations:
Haway Village, Lower Shabelle Region – A location believed to contain large explosive materials was targeted.
Outskirts of Kuntuwaarey, Lower Shabelle Region – Two missiles struck forces that were reportedly planning and preparing for an attack.
Xaramka area, Middle Jubba Region – Foreign fighters who were allegedly being prepared to carry out operations inside Somalia and along the Kenya border were targeted.
Sablaale, Lower Shabelle Region – A vehicle carrying several senior leaders was hit. Among those reported to be present were:
Sheikh Abu Muhsin – Head of security for Al-Shabaab.
Abu Barak – Security chief for foreign fighters, originally from Kenya.
Shucayb Ahmed (Abu Zudayfa) – General Emir of Finance for the group.
Muse Abdullahi Muse (Borow) – Assistant to the movement’s leader.
Daahir Arab (Abu Qac Qac) – Emir of security for the fighting units and deputy commander of the militant fronts.
