MOGADISHU, Somalia, May 2026 — Somali travel technology company Namari says it is expanding its digital booking, travel distribution, and customer-facing travel services as the country’s aviation sector undergoes significant modernization following the launch of the International Air Transport Association’s Billing and Settlement Plan pilot in Somalia.

The BSP pilot is intended to pave the way for broader participation by airlines and travel agents across the country.

Founded in Mogadishu, Namari develops software platforms used by travel agencies, consolidators, and travel resellers to search, compare, and book airline tickets through a centralized digital system.

The company provides booking technology, fare management tools, agency dashboards, and white-label travel platforms designed to reduce operational complexity and improve efficiency for travel businesses.

Alongside its B2B technology solutions, Namari also provides B2C travel services, including direct flight booking, cargo and logistics coordination, and visa application assistance for individual travelers, families, business customers, and traders.

Industry analysts say increasing airline connectivity, digital adoption, and new aviation infrastructure initiatives are creating opportunities for local technology firms serving the travel sector. Somalia has recently implemented reforms aimed at strengthening its aviation ecosystem and improving international connectivity.

Namari said it intends to expand its services throughout East Africa and the Horn of Africa, focusing on digital distribution, modern booking infrastructure, and accessible travel services for both businesses and consumers.
