‘You can not sit in your comfort zone and claim to be fighting terrorists,’ Fafi’s lawmaker Bare Shill stated at a news conference in Parliament.
Shill, who spoke on behalf of other deputies, warned the Jubilee administration that residents of Wajir, Garissa and Mandera are ready to buy weapons in order to protect themselves.
He also wondered why the government does not recruit police reservists in vulnerable counties as it does in fighting villains in Pokot and Turkana.
Shukran Gure (representative for Garissa), Mohamed Dahir (Dadaab), Mohamed Shidiye (Lagdera), Ahmed Abbas (Ijara) and Mandera Senator Yusuf Haji were at the press conference.
