It was another sleepless night for those who remained in Gaza City. The majority of people remain in their homes, in areas that have been relentlessly bombed by the Israeli army.
There is a reason why people are not leaving; simply, it’s not safe to step outside their tents or where they are sheltering. Attacks are a mix of drone strikes and remotely controlled detonated explosive robots planted inside displacement camps and roads.
As of now, people’s movement has been very limited by the use of these explosives. The air is still thick with smoke.
Attacks [today] killed at least 31 Palestinians inside their homes, including 28 in Gaza City. The worst was the attack on a cluster of residential homes in the Sabra neighbourhood on people who had recently evacuated from the Zeitoun area as the Israeli army advanced in Gaza City.
The vast majority of the people killed were from the same family. Rescue workers were able to retrieve the bodies of 14 people – others are still trapped or missing under piles of rubble.
