Germany to Invest 100 Million Dollars in Somali Police

Germany has announced on Tuesday that it will invest 100 million dollars in developing preparedness programs for the Somali Police.

The European country’s ambassador here, Annette Gunther, made the announcement and praised the Somali government’s reforms in the economic and military sectors to improve national security.

We are going to strengthen our diplomatic relations and our presence,’ stressed the German diplomat, shortly after the signing of two agreements to strengthen the strategic partnership between both States to benefit the African country.

The signatories stressed the importance of that partnership, which ratifies Berlin as a strategic ally of Somalia and one of its main international contributors.
