The Commander of the Somali Police Force, Major General Abdi Hassan Mohamed, today appointed Major General Mahdi Omar Muumin as the Commander of the General Police Department of Banadir Region.
This news was announced in a statement posted on the pages of the police command on social media.
Mahdi Omar Muumin will replace General Farhan Mohamud Adan (Farah Qaroole) who was killed on September 30 in a mine explosion near Basra in the Middle Shabelle region.
Lieutenant Colonel Mahdi Omar Muumin was previously the security commander of Galmudug administration before he was transferred to Banadir region.
