Mogadishu Mayor, who is also Banadir Region Governor Honourable Abdirahman Omar Osman (Eng. Yarisow), Assistants of Head of Security and Policy and General Works as well as Members of Parliament of the Federal Government of Somalia have met with Garasbaley residents in a collective fast-breaking occasion in Garasbaley location of Banadir Region.
Banadir Region Governor has thanked residents of Garasbaley area for organizing a fast-breaking ceremony for him while, at the same time, commending different kinds of developmental endeavors the location has realized recently.
While addressing the residents of the area, the Mayor of Muqdisho has pointed out that his administration is committed to uniting and developing the entire residents of the City while, at the same time,pledging to deliver the services, which his administration is offering, to the local community.
“We thank you for organizing this fast-breaking ceremony which shows us the extent to which you love your administration and we are also ready to provide you with a helping hand so as to get the kind of rights which other districts of the region are currently receiving”. Eng. Yarisow said.
In His remarks on democratizing the city, the Mayor of Muqdisho has reiterated that since the plan is to conduct one man one vote elections across the country in 2020, they should as well be well prepared for the forth-coming elections so as to play their roles as citizens.
Finally, the Governor of Banadir Region Mr. Abdirahman Omar Osman has commended the coherence between residents of Garasbaley, their elders and different sects of the people in Garasbaley location. He has also asked the residents to pay the government taxes so as to implement the desired development in the location that allows it to compete with other districts of the city.
On the other hand, some Members of the Parliament, including Honorable Sharmarke Garad Saleban, Honourable Abtidon Yare and others such as local administration officials and traditional elders, who have all admitted the location had realized a tangible societal development, have also given their remarks in the occasion.
